Hothouse ImPRINT at WPA Group Exhibition

Hothouse: ImPRINT at Capitol Skyline Hotel
Presented by Washington Project for the Arts
May 7 – June 20, 2015
Opening Reception: 7-9pm on Thursday, May 7

I recently received the news that I have been accepted to participate in Hothouse: ImPRINT, a juried group exhibition of works by Washington Project for the Arts member artists. In addition to showing my work in the exhibition, I will work with juror Robert Bettman to write an article about my creative process for publication in the arts magazine Bourgeon.

About the Juror
Robert Bettmann is the founder and editor of the arts magazine Bourgeon. Following professional training on scholarship at the School of the Washington Ballet and the Alvin Ailey School, Bettmann danced professionally for numerous modern dance companies. He worked as an editorial assistant for W.W. Norton, and received his MA on Fellowship from American University. VDM: Verlag published his book of environmental history, Somatic Ecology: Somatics, Nature, Humanity and the Human Body in 2009. In 2013 Day Eight published Bourgeon: Fifty Artists Write About Their Work (general editor Robert Bettmann). Robert blogs regularly for local and national outlets on the arts and policy, and was recently elected to the governing Council of the State Arts Action Network.
